42 grams of meth found in Gillespie County traffic stop after male passenger tries to run

GILLESPIE COUNTY, Texas – Two people are in jail after police say a traffic stop on the 1100 block of US Hwy 87 North turned up 42 grams of methamphetamine.

According to the Gillespie County Sheriff’s Office and Jail Records, Raul Sam Requences, 28, from San Antonio, and Amanda Uballe, 30, of Blanco were pulled over at approximately 3:40 a.m. Friday morning.

Both passengers were found to be in possession of methamphetamine and were arrested for Possession of a Controlled Substance PG <1 Gram, a state jail felony.

According to GCSO, the male passenger attempted to flee the scene and was captured by deputies about 50 yards from the original traffic stop.

Police say that 42 grams of methamphetamine were then found in Requences’ pants while deputies were transporting him to the Gillespie County Jail.

Requences was charged with Escape (While Arrested Felony), Possession of a Controlled Substance PG 1 > 4 grams < 200 grams and Prohibited Substance in a Correctional Facility.

Bond amounts have not been set at this time.
