According to court records, Daryl Russel Fay, 45, of Schertz, was booked into the Kerr County Jail on the charge of FAILURE TO REGISTER AS A SEX OFFENDER – ENHANCED.

Fey was indicted on the charge on September 21, 2018. The indictment states, “Because of a reportable conviction for sexual assault. Intentionally or knowingly fail to register his online social media account Instagram using the name ‘darylfey.'”

The reason the charge is enhanced, according to the indictment, is because Fey was convicted in 2010 of the felony offense of POSSESSION OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE in Guadalupe County.

The Texas Sex Offender Registry shows that Fey was convicted in 1995 of Sexual Assault. The victim was 14 years of age.

Fey served an eight-year sentence and was discharged from incarceration.

The bond amount for Fey is set for $15,000.
