On Memorial Day weekend, the sixth annual Kerrville Festival of the Arts will host artists from all around the region demonstrating their art. The event is free and open to the public. Kerrville’s Historic Downtown area offers visitors not only a fine art experience, but also the opportunity to visit its restaurants and shops. You will find a little bit of everything – antiques, collectibles, rare and collectible books, home décor and fine clothing. Come out Saturday, May 25 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. or Sunday, May 26 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and enjoy some art downtown!
Because of this event, a portion of Earl Garrett Street between Highway 27 and Water Street, and a portion of Water Street between Highway 16 and Washington, will close beginning Friday, May 24 at approximately 6 a.m. and will remain closed through the evening of Sunday, May 26.
A portion of Water Street between Highway 16 and Cartewheels Catering will remain open until 2 p.m. on Friday, May 24 to provide access to Peterson Plaza and the south parking lot. Please note, however, that all vehicles need to be removed from Water Street and the south parking lot in Peterson Plaza no later than 2 p.m. Friday.
The streets will be closed to all through traffic. Please plan to use alternate routes during this time. For more information about the event, please visit http://kvartfest.com/.
