Kerrville man arrested, accused of breaking 13-month-old baby’s arm

KERRVILLE – A Kerrville man has been arrested and charged after a 13-month-old baby showed up at University Hospital with a broken arm.

The Kerr County Sheriff’s Office said that 28-year-old Kenneth Robert Chidester admitted to causing injury to the child during an interview with investigators.

Investigators with the Kerr County Sheriff’s Office were originally called out to University Hospital on March 26, 2019.

When they arrived, they were told that the baby had multiple fractures to his arm and old healing fractures on his leg.

After the interview, Chidester was charged with Injury to a child with intent to commit bodily injury, according to a press release from KCSO.

Jail records show that he was arrested on April 5, 2019, and was released April 6, 2019, on a $25,000 bond.

Chidester made a public statement on his Facebook page Monday, claiming that he would never hurt a child intentionally.
