Severe storms possible throughout the Hill Country Sunday evening — Full NWS forecast

KERRVILLE — According to the National Weather Service, the Texas Hill Country and a large portion of Central Texas are at risk Sunday evening for severe weather. Here is the full forecast for the Austin/San Antonio regions.

Higher than normal temperatures with higher heat indices across the area today. Practice heat safety if outdoors.


High temperatures across the region has prompted a Heat Advisory for area shaded in orage. Practice heat saefty if outdoors.


A strong cold front moving in late in the day Sunday will bring a chance for strong to severe thunderstorms to portions of south central Texas late Sunday evening into early Monday morning. As of now, it appears the best chance for severe thunderstorms will remain along and north of a Rocksprings to Austin line. Damaging winds, large hail and heavy rainfall are all possible.


Temperatures drop Monday trough Wednesday in the wake of a cold frontal passage. Isolated to scattered showers and thunderstorms Monday and Tuesday with a chance for locally heavy rainfall.
